2026 SUMMER CLASS AT MOELLER: FINANCIAL LITERACY
Archbishop Moeller High School is excited to offer Financial Literacy for original credit this summer. Financial Literacy is a state of Ohio graduation requirement.
Financial Literacy CP1 (0.5 credits)
Instructor: Mrs. Melissa Evans
In this course, we will be exploring the following topics: career development, budgeting, taxes, banking, saving, investing, credit, and managing risk. Students will evaluate various consumer decisions, such as selecting a career, buying a home, saving money in various investment options, and making major purchases. The goal of the course is to introduce the student to key financial concepts so he will have a strong foundation to make important financial decisions throughout his life.
Course Dates: June 8-18, 2026
The two-week course will be composed of in-person sessions from 9 AM – 1 PM:
- Monday, June 8
- Tuesday, June 9
- Wednesday, June 10
- Thursday, June 11
- Friday, June 12
- Monday, June 15
- Tuesday, June 16
- Wednesday, June 17
- Thursday, June 18
Cost: $325 per student
- A minimum of 15 students must enroll for the course to be offered. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis with a maximum enrollment of 20 students.

Important Grade and Schedule Policies:
- A student’s grade from this summer course will be recorded on his transcript and factored into his GPA.
- Due to the condensed nature of this course, any student who plans to miss more than one course date should not enroll. Missing more than one class session for excused and/or unexcused absences may result in the student being withdrawn from the class with no credit or refund being awarded. The student will be required to retake the course during the school year for graduation credit.
